A VCD (Volume Control Damper) is a device used in HVAC duct systems to control and regulate the airflow inside ducts. It helps in balancing air distribution in different areas of a building.

🔹 Purpose:

• Controls the volume of air in ducts

• Balances airflow in HVAC systems

• Adjusts air supply to different rooms

• Improves system efficiency

🔹 How It Works:

A VCD consists of multiple adjustable blades installed inside a duct.
When the blades are:

• Open → Maximum airflow

• Partially closed → Reduced airflow

• Closed → Airflow stops

The blades are adjusted manually using a handle or automatically using an actuator.
