An ESP Cell (Electrostatic Precipitator Cell) is the core working component of an Electrostatic Precipitator system used for removing dust, smoke, oil mist, and fine particulate matter from industrial exhaust air.
The ESP cell works on the principle of electrostatic charge attraction.
Inside the cell:
• Contaminated air passes through high-voltage ionizing wires
• Dust particles receive a negative electrical charge
• These charged particles are attracted towards positively charged collecting plates
• The particles stick to the plates and are removed from the airflow
This process helps in:
✔ Removing fine dust & smoke
✔ Controlling air pollution
✔ Improving indoor air quality
✔ Protecting downstream equipment
An ESP Cell mainly consists of:
Ionizing Section (Discharge Electrodes)
Collecting Plates
High Voltage Power Supply
Insulated Housing Frame
Drain System (for oil & grease)
ESP Cells are widely used in:
• Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Systems
• Industrial Fume Extraction
• Welding Smoke Removal
• Oil Mist Collection
• HVAC Air Cleaning Systems
✔ High efficiency (up to 95–99%)
✔ Low pressure drop
✔ Washable & reusable
✔ Energy efficient
✔ Continuous operation
